Patrick is an entrepreneur with multiple successful exits, previously serving as the Co-Founder and COO of Aurum Healthcare, a med-tech company specializing in cardiac-vascular intervention medical devices.From its inception in 2011, Patrick helped build it from a 3-person team into a profitable business before its acquisition by Temasek in 2017. As COO, he executed commercialisation and regulatory strategies, drove clinical trials, and managed day-to-day operations to achieve sustainable growth. Patrick also managed SMU Protégé Ventures, an SMU-sponsored VC fund, investing in early-stage university startups, overseeing fundraising, deal flows, training, mentoring, and industry partnerships to foster innovation and entrepreneurial culture.
Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Patrick mentors deep-tech and social impact startups, serving as
an Adjunct Senior Fellow with SUTD and mentoring NUS, NTU, and A*STAR venture-building programs.With over 20 years of experience in the medical technology, digital health, and IT industries, he has a proven track record of successful commercialization. He was previously the COO for KEWILL, where he achieved significant YOY growth in Asia, and held leadership positions at Autoscan Technology, PSA,Logitech, and CWT Ltd. Patrick is passionate about biomed startups and believes the next unicorns will emerge from the deep-tech domain in universities and research institutions.
